During scientific research, it is necessary to adhere to strict rules in order to avoid violating ethical principles and legal norms. Working with scientific data is regulated by a number of documents with which researchers should be familiar. In the social sciences, the importance of this issue is further emphasized by the fact that research involves human subjects, and it is necessary to ensure their adequate protection. Ethical standards for research are mostly regulated by codes of ethics, which are issued both at the level of individual institutions and at the level of the scientific disciplines themselves. In the social sciences, approval of research by an ethics committee is not usually mandatory (unlike in some areas of medical science), but it is becoming increasingly common practice. Some scientific journals even require a formal ethical review of the research from which scientific articles are derived. Below are links to some of them.
